Automatic wage indexation – we won’t give up!

For a year now, the OGBL has been fighting alone to defend our mechanism for adjusting salaries to the increase in the cost of living. This fight to defend our rights and gains is a daily commitment. And even if, thanks to this relentless struggle, 2 indexations will be paid in February and April, we must continue to remain intransigent in the face of repeated attacks by the employers and the liberal policies pursued both in Luxembourg and in Europe to wipe out these gains.

In this context, trade union solidarity is essential. In Belgium, the FGTB is leading the same fight to defend automatic wage indexation (this mechanism now exists only in Luxembourg, Belgium and Malta and is constantly being undermined by the OECD).

Defending the index in Belgium also means defending our index in Luxembourg.

Join us all on February 14th in Marche en Famenne to demonstrate with the Belgian trade unions
