The sections ensure the practical implementation of the central public relations work and initiate section-specific communication campaigns. They organize cultural, artistic and recreational activities, offer services based on the needs of the members, discuss general national and local issues, and invite members to the annual section meeting, section days, information meetings and conferences. The sections carry out their administrative duties and manage their funds on a financially autonomous basis. The section committee, which is elected at the section day, held every 5 years, represents OGBL in all local affairs.
Since 2017, the 23 local sections of the OGBL in Luxembourg and the Greater Region, which were the central and historical heart of the union activity, have a professional structure that accompanies them in the organization of their work: the National Centre for Section Support Services – CNSSS (Centre National de Services de Soutien aux Sections).
