Missions and objectives
The Disabled Workers’ Department brings together all OGBL members with the status of disabled workers.
The Disabled Workers’ Department is a statutory body of the confederation. On the basis of the OGBL’s statutes, policy papers and programs of action, it represents the trade union, political and social demands of disabled workers.
The Disabled Workers’ Department has among others the following key missions:
- to interest disabled workers in trade union missions and to win them as members and militants;
- in collaboration with the STH/ADEM, to help and guide disabled people in finding a job;
- to create and maintain relations with other organizations of people with disabilities working in the same direction as our department, at the national and international level. If necessary, the department can support these groups by joining their activities;
- represent the political, economic, social and cultural interests of people with disabilities through union positions and actions.

Latest news from the DepartmentEntrevue avec le Ministre du Travail
Mercredi 12 mars, une délégation du DTH / OGBL, (composée de Patrick Hurst, Claudia Delvaux, Jean Paulus, Sonia Neves, Olivier Landini et Joël Delvaux) a été reçu par Monsieur le Ministre du Travail pour discuter entre autres des points suivants :
- La nécessité de reformer la loi du 12 septembre 2003 relative aux personnes détentrices du statut des salaries handicapes ;
- La création d’un statut des apprentis handicapés ;
- L’application et le contrôle des quotas d’embauche des salaries handicapes sur le marché de l’emploi ;
- L’évaluation de la loi du le 19 août 2019 relative à l’assistance à l’inclusion dans l’emploi
- L’harmonisation de la reconnaissance du statut de salarie handicape au sein de la Grande Région.
- La reconnaissance des acquis des salariés handicapés embauchés dans les ateliers d’inclusions.
