Comme tous les ans depuis la fin de la 2e Guerre Mondiale, l’OGBL et le Landesverband se sont rendus au cimetière militaire américain à Luxembourg-Hamm en ce premier lundi du mois de septembre pour rendre hommage aux jeunes travailleurs américains qui, en tant que soldats, ont payé de leur vie pour contribuer à libérer le Luxembourg du joug nazi.
Aux Etats-Unis, le premier lundi du mois de septembre est un jour férié, c’est la fête du travail, le « Labor Day ».
