Aux États-Unis, le premier lundi du mois de septembre est un jour férié, c’est la fête du travail, le «Labor Day». Depuis la fin de la Seconde Guerre Mondiale, l’OGBL et la FNCTTFEL rendent hommage aux jeunes travailleurs américains qui en tant que soldats ont payé de leur vie pour contribuer à libérer le Luxembourg du joug nazi.
