The Building, Building Crafts and Metal Constructions Syndicate is a union for all employees working in the field of construction: elevator manufacturers, tilers, carpenters, electricians, marble workers, carpenters, masons, formers, roofers, scrap metal workers, installers, ceiling layers, facade workers, painters, concrete manufacturers, employees of the technical and administrative departments of various companies and apprentices.
With hundreds of staff delegates elected in 2019 (including 250 titular delegates), most of whom are employed in the main building and civil engineering and building crafts companies, the OGBL is the majority union and spokesperson for this sector.
As a result, the OGBL negotiates the collective bargaining agreements for all employees in building constructionand building crafts trades.
