Role and Commitment of OGBL Staff Delegates

Staff representatives play a crucial role within the company and beyond. They listen to their colleagues, identify issues of well-being, equality, health and safety, and promote social dialogue. They negotiate with the employer to improve working conditions, such as quality of life, stress management, working time arrangements, remuneration and job security. In addition, they receive key information on the company’s economic and financial situation, headcount, prospects and employment developments. Together with the trade unions, they negotiate collective agreements to influence internal decisions and changes in the organisation of work.

OGBL delegates are committed to forming a strong and competent staff delegation, to maintaining a transparent information and communication policy, and to defending the rights of employees. They meet regularly with employees at their workstations, hold frequent meetings, and work for the continuous improvement of occupational safety and health. They fight against abuses, ensure compliance with collective agreements and the Labour Code, and work to improve employment protection policies. They promote a better work-life balance, train regularly to better carry out their mission, collaborate with delegates from other companies in the sector, and participate in national actions to defend jobs and working conditions
